Setting a mismatched table

Nothing says you must choose twelve identical plates. A table put together piece by piece has more character, provided you keep a common thread.

Start with one strong piece. A large dish or a salad bowl sets the tone. The rest falls into place around it.

Limit the palette. Two colours and one raw clay are enough: blue, speckled white and a dark stoneware, for example.

Play with sizes. Bowls in three diameters, deep plates and flat ones: the variety of shapes gives the table its rhythm.

Leave some air. Handmade pieces need space to be seen. A plain tablecloth, few objects, and the ceramics do the rest.

Torn between several pieces? Add them to your basket and send your request, with your questions in the note.
