On the studio shelves, pale glazes sit next to lagoon blue, mint and celadon. Colour changes the table, and sometimes the dish itself.
Lagoon blue. Deep at the centre, almost black at the rim, it shows off fruit, citrus and anything yellow or green.
Mint and celadon. These very soft sea greens love salads, fresh herbs and spring vegetables. They brighten a white tablecloth without taking over.
Sky blue. Matt and calm, it suits breakfast as well as an evening bowl of pasta.
Mix without fear. Ingrid’s pieces share the same clays and the same shapes: a mint bowl sits happily next to a blue plate or a raw stoneware dish.
Because every glaze is applied by hand, the shade varies from one firing to the next. The photo gives the direction, the piece brings the nuance.
